Access to Devices on Campus
Once you have registered for your course and received you College Student ID card, you will be able to access one of our LapSafe cabinets. You simply need to swipe your Student Card against the screen to borrow one of our devices for either 24 hours or 2 weeks. There is a cabinet at each of our main campuses.
Where to find them:
Kingsway Campus: In the entrance lobby of the main building.
Gardyne Campus: Outside the Help Point in the main building.
Arbroath Campus: In the Isla Building main corridor, just outside the Learner Engagement/Help Point area.
Access to Wi-Fi
You will also get access to our free Wi-fi service, once you are fully registered on your course. Eduroam (the name of our Wi-Fi service) is accessible at most college and university campuses throughout the UK and will give you free access to the Internet whilst you are a student at the College.
Alternatively you can use our Guest Wi-Fi service by simply creating an online account.
Long Term Device Loans
We have a small number of laptops available to students to borrow on a longer term basis, dependent on your circumstances. When you are registered for your course, you will able to apply for one of these devices, and a member of our Student Services team will confirm if your application has been successful.
